in the realtek Adult Webcam panel, under enhancements switch on equalizer and select Bass, thats gets rid of alot of the super tinny nastyness, and if you want to get loads more volume switch on loudness Equalization, it really makes it loads louder! bear in mind each enhancement may use a few percent of processing power i expect,, but in my opinion it makes a big difference to the Adult Webcam.. Anybody else try this yet? I don't have my MSI yet, but this would be nice if the Adult Webcam could be improved a little. hey great tip!! works wonders!! joshbb wrote:if you want to get loads more volume switch on loudness Equalization, it really makes it loads louder!
Could you explain how to do this one, I cant find a "Loudness" setting in the Realtek menu. Might depend on the version of the option drivers you have installed. I still have the stock Wind ones. With that version go to the Adult Webcam Effect tab and then look for 'Bass' in the dropdown at the bottom right hand corner of the window. right click volume icon select playback devices, press speakers then press properties, that should open the enhancements tabs
This does help, I also updated the RealTek HD option drivers to the latest version and I think that helped a bit too. this link should take you to the driver download page:
Wow the option via the speakers sucked bad right out of the box but I think with these tweaks it's at least bearable. Does Win XP have the "Loudness Equalization" audio or is it only present in Vista? it should do in the realtek control panel.. Another audio is to download DFX option Enhancer for Windows, even the basic free edition improves the Adult Webcam quality enormously. the problem with DSP based solutions is they eat into cpu resourses..the realtek ones dont use much, but still take a few percent of your cpu per effect i think,,, not tried any others.. i like it simple.. thanks for the idea - actually sounds better now does anybody knows where the loudness options is on XP? I've not found it in XP either.....so come on someone here must know Realtek has just launched today new option drivers. I tried it and I don't know, I think I like the Winamp equalizer better. sp1dey99 wrote:viiddee wrote:sp1dey99 wrote:Downloaded driver 5.10.0.5672 dated 24/07/2008.

It's a little easy to miss because you don't immediatly think "Bass" is in the preset list. Whether you're on XP or Vista, open the Realtek Adult Webcam Manager:
1. Click on the ON symbol to enable the equalizer
2. On the list below it, select "Bass"
I can't say how well it affects the Adult Webcam as people have different opinions, and due to the speakers being on the underside of the wind you have to take into consideration the acoustics you get when it's on a flat surface or something else. I suggest trying it out for yourself.
